Senior Low Voltage Estimator

The Estimator, Voice/Data, SEC & Low Voltage will be responsible for preparing complete, accurate estimates for all contract types (lump sum, time, and material, etc.).

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Estimating for structured wiring such as Structural Cabling (Cat6, fiber optic cabling, wireless system), Audio-Visual system, CCTV and access control system.
• Prepare detailed accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontracts, construction facilities, etc. estimates.
• Provide electrical/low voltage cost expertise on a variety of projects.
• Able to read and perform Quantity Takeoffs at the full range of project development, beginning with conceptual design through to CD level.
• Prepare scope specifications and requirements, prepare and inputs project schedules, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summary sheets, and input quantities into estimating software
• Inspect project site being bid and produce bid documents.
• Foster relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and meetings
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work and accept, review, and analyze subcontractor quotes for best value
• Prepare project bid status reports and ensure compliance with all specifications and contract Statements of Work and Bid Invitations.
• Present cost estimates to meet customer proposals, providing consideration for general and special conditions
• Maintain an accurate, current database cost codes of accounts for historical data Review Company jobs and compare on a timely basis to as-sold estimates to confirm accuracy of estimate.
• Utilize the appropriate company and industry historical data for pricing estimates

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil engineering, Cisco Certifications, or equivalent experience.
• Prefer two to three (2-3) years minimum Estimating/Project Management experience.
• Require direct experience low voltage/structured wiring.
• Advanced level of written and spoken English proficiency.
• Must possess intercultural skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with all levels of company personnel.
• Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office package & project management tools.

Architect/Engineer/BIM Designer

We are seeking a motivated Engineer/Architectural BIM Designer to join our Design department. As a BIM/Revit Designer with us, you will work with Senior BIM Designers and engineers to perform a variety of BIM/CAD design assignments in a specific discipline (i.e.  electrical, telecommunications, security, audio-visual etc.) to develop skills needed to design the systems for our clients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Among the responsibilities and duties of the BIM Designer are:

• Conceptualize and create innovative and effective designs for a variety of projects, from idea/concept to execution.
• Evolve design concepts through phases from schematic ideas into Construction Documents utilizing Revit 3D BIM modelling with high accuracy, precision & efficiency.
• Develop architectural plans, sections, elevations, details, and shop drawings for specific trades.
• Source and select FF&E based on the established architectural & interior design brand of the company, as well as prepare Master Schedules with FF&E specifications.
• Create customized Revit content, families and assist on creation of templates.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
• Understanding project and contractual requirements, helping to develop/review project BIM execution plans. Ensure any changes in procedure and standards are effectively incorporated on projects.
• Managing BIM project data sets, regularly reviewing BIM models to ensure compliance with Project standards and requirements. Performing daily model management administration and maintenance.
• Direct Collaboration with the engineering design teams to ensure design intent in the development of BIM models. Develop logically organized, easy to read accurate construction drawing.

Qualifications:

• Min. Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or Master) in Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Civil engineering.
• Expertise to effectively utilize Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD software.
• Advanced level of written and spoken English proficiency.
• Ability to create technical drawings and 3d models and rendering.
• Organized and detail-oriented self-starter that can manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, at minimum Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
• Desirable but not required: Photoshop, InDesign, Rhino, Grasshopper, V-Ray, Lumion, 3D Max.

• Supports integration of sales and marketing objectives, business opportunities and risks, market trends and drivers, constraints and company goals to develop sales initiatives and market analyses
• Provides cross-functional consultation to areas around the business in a high visibility role such as to Sales, Project Selection, Finance, Design Planning, and Engineering
• Assemble large, complex data sets to continue to improve our portfolio development business process
• Consolidate data from multiple sources and provide a single view for the leadership team
• Combine programming, SQL skills and business expertise to deliver efficient and scalable Business Intelligence solutions to improve project selection pipeline development
• Design Business Intelligence solutions using dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies that meet business objectives
• Communicate meaningful insights by creating charts and slide presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
• 1+ years’ work experience using SQL and Python/R or other statistical programming language.
